The Kenya PhD Project is continuously establishing and developing strategic partnerships with stakeholders in USA. These efforts modeled on projects have the sole objective of identifying the most attractive Funded PhD Opportunities for Kenyans and possibilities of collaborations.

HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL CONNECT
Kenya PhD Project is seeking to create a strategic partnership with the Harvard Business School. The idea is to pin down all requirements for PhD admission and identify areas of automatic convergence including waivers in TOEFL Language requirements, Kenya being a former British Colony where English is not only the official language but the Language of Instruction at all levels of Education. Kenyan professors teaching at Harvard, including Prof. Calestous Juma (Professor of the Practice of International Development and Faculty Chair of the Innovation for Economic Development Executive Program at Harvard Kennedy School.), are crucial for the success of the project.

PRINCETON UNIVERSITY EFFORT
Kenya PhD Project is leveraging on fantastic rapport with distinguished Princeton alumni, including Dr. Paula Kahumbu (PhD from Princeton University where she studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and conducted her field research on elephants in Kenya), not only to demystify admission requirements but to provide a role model for potential PhD students. Andrew visited Princeton to seek opportunities and develop collaboration for Kenyans.

MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY OPEN COURSEWARE
Delivery of 200GB of MIT Open Courseware from MIT to KENET. Yvonne Ng (an OCW Manager at MIT) and Andrew have worked closely to transfer Open Course-ware materials to UoN, KU, PUEA and TEAU, ensuring Kenyans have access to the same programs taught in USA. This continued collaboration will be extended to MIT Sloan School of Management.

POST GRADUATE EVENTS ACROSS USA
A standing effort at Kenya PhD Project is to attend and create networking with Universities in Recruitment and Admission Events; Open House; and Information Sessions. This has seen Andrew meet representatives from over 70 universities. Continued open lines of communication seeded at the meetings form the foundation of the much sort for collaboration. Next most promising partners are University of Tennessee at Chattanooga; Emory University (Goizueta); and New York University (Stern).
